Create an I-Plan Website for Free

I've heard a lot of chatter from the 2nd Years wanting to make a website for the I-Plan project but not knowing how to go about doing it. Well fear not, there are several super-easy and super-free services that you can use to create a website online. No Dreamweaver or HTML coding required!

Easy Option 1: Google Sites
Google Sites is super easy, and very intuitive. If you can e-mail, you can Google Sites. Take a look at the editor mode for this very post, you'll see familiar items on the toolbar including bolditalic, and underline, along with color, highlight, link, bullets, numbers, and right/center/left align.

Using the Insert tab, you can easy embed photos, videos, calendars, documents, and even interactive maps. Choosing a page layout is easy using the Layout tab, where you simply choose the location of columns, headers, footers, and sidebars.

Easy Option 2: Weebly
If you're looking for something even easier, consider Weebly! You will have less control over the site's format, and some advanced features require you to sign up for a Pro account. However, for something like an I-Plan, the standard free version is more than adequate. You literally drag and drop page elements into place - it just doesn't get any easier than this, folks!

Here's an example of what you can do in 10 minutes with Weebly. Notice the different features in the toolbar at the top. All you have to do is drag those components into place below, and Weebly does the rest. You can have an attractive site in minutes! Check out the one I made while I was writing this post:http://myiplan.weebly.com
